Voluntary Recall of M-M-R® II, Lot #0851AA

There are no safety concerns, no need for revaccination

One lot of M-M-R® II vaccine is being recalled because it was released before the internal release procedure was completed. A retroactive investigation of the lot has concluded that there are no safety, quality or efficacy concerns with the lot. Individuals who have received the vaccine do not need to be revaccinated, and the vaccination should be considered a valid dose. This recall will not affect the overall supply of M-M-R® II vaccine.

Lot 0851AA was sent to private customers only. Although there are no safety concerns, best practices would dictate that vaccine from this lot should be set aside and not used. Customers will be contacted directly by Merck for the return process.
