Public Health Officials remind consumers to talk to their healthcare provider before taking any dietary supplements.
Health and Beyond has issued a recall for certain lots of the product Tranquility. The products have been found to contain a trace of Doxepin, which is a pharmaceutical for sleep and Chlorpromazine, which is prescribed for psychotic disorders.
The product potentially could cause dizziness, posing a health risk to users. The company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
The product is used as a sleep product and is packaged in a white bottle with 30 pills per bottle. The bottle is marked with lot # 36678 and 36680 and an expiration date of 9/15. (photo)
The product was distributed nationwide, including wholesale, retail and via the internet.
Consumers who have the affected product should stop using it and return the product to the place of purchase.
Any adverse events that may be related to the use of the affected products should be reported to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
